Two part ABC report on the 2014 Lindt Cafe Siege produced as the Magistrate Michael Barnes, released submissions “Inquest into the deaths arising from the Lindt Café siege” 24th May 2017.
The ABC report discusses some disturbing realities that occurred during the siege in December 2014. The lack of communication is described by one hostage as ” a one way street”. Another incident raised in the second part is the fact that the police commander went home to bed as did the head of counter terrorism.
