This is an extract from the Australian Senate Foreign Affairs & Trade. Senator Stephen Conroy puts questions to Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin AC and the answers are quiet interesting.
Baskin at one point says that ‘Daesh’ have gone on the defensive, no longer flying the flag on their vehicles and the ‘senior leadership’ are no longer wearing uniforms.
The question regarding Daesh still setting up roadblocks and checkpoints…
“that makes them quiet obvious and the checkpoint soon disappears..into a bit dust‘ (here)
Baskin also reviews a timeline of activity and points out the underlying problem issue seems to point to a lack of communications between coalition intelligence groups, and the way the information is disseminated through war fighter units. Something that would perhaps become more of a focus point in time.
