Samuel Paty was teaching a class on history and ethics in which he introduced the “draw Mohammed” concept. Paty had announced to the class that anyone who was offended by this idea could be excused from the class. One of the parents then took to social media to express his religous outrage. The call was taken up by a Chechen man, Abdoullakh Anzorov, an 18-year-old Moscow-born Chechen refugee who beheaded Samuel Paty,
“The attack happened at College Bois D’Aulne on the outskirts of Paris at around 5pm, local time, near the middle school where the teacher worked in Conflans Saint-Honorine, a northwestern suburb around 30 kilometres from the city centre.“
“The investigation into the murder of a French teacher for showing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in class turned to Syria on Thursday, where the killer was reportedly in contact with a Russian-speaking fighter there.
Seven people, including two teenagers who helped the killer identify his victim, have been charged with being complicit in a “terrorist murder” after 18-year-old Chechen Abdullakh Anzorov beheaded Samuel Paty on the outskirts of Paris on Friday“
“Le Parisien newspaper reported on Thursday that Anzorov’s suspected contact had been located through an IP address traced back to Idlib, a rebel holdout in northwestern Syria.”
On Thursday it was confirmed that 7 people were involved in this murder including two school kids and they are facing charges after Abdoullakh Anzorov.
